Live Notes
JSON vs XML
Rob is strongly for JSPF first. XML is dead for web APIs.
Philipp feels that JSPF is doing way more harm than good and that if the focus becomes JSON based that should be independent on XSPF.
Lucas feels we should rename the project Spiff and keep both XML and JSON under the same roof.
Issue Triage
The GitLab issue list is a mess. For example https://gitlab.xiph.org/xiph/xspf-website/-/issues/4 isn't actionable or closeable.
Lucas promised to triage all the tickets.
URIs
Consensus to downplay relative URIs. In the updated spec we will forbid them with a MUST NOT.
However, we do not have consensus on whether the location field is included.
Followups
- Triage tickets
- Begin a document to aggregate items with consensus. Include relative URIs.
- Book meeting next week
- Triage log
