Panel closes instantly--Wasn't able to get its name and try to fix as a result. Other panels in same context menu work fine.

Hey, that's quite odd.
I actually had a similar issue so I added the following to the config:

# Package Manager Dropdown
windowrulev2 = move cursor, class:^(Unity)$, title:^(UnityEditor.PackageManager.UI.Internal.DropdownContainer)$
windowrulev2 = minsize 200 50, class:^(Unity)$, title:^(UnityEditor.PackageManager.UI.Internal.DropdownContainer)$
windowrulev2 = stayfocused, class:^(Unity)$, title:^(UnityEditor.PackageManager.UI.Internal.DropdownContainer)$

That should make the git pkg window not lose focus and have a proper min size.
What version of Unity are you on?
It's possible that they changed the window title.
I use Unity 6.

I had this problem on 2023.2 due to a project I'm working on not having yet made the transition to Unity 6. However after testing I do have the same issue on latest Unity 6.0 version.

Something to note: I do see it flicker for a second, and then it closes entirely & there's no trace of it in hyprctl clients.

I also asked gpt to write this short script that prints out newly opened windows.

Script
#!/bin/bash

# Function to get sorted list of window IDs
get_window_ids() {
    hyprctl clients | grep '^Window' | awk '{ print $2 }' | sort
}

# Initial snapshot
prev_ids=$(get_window_ids)

while true; do
    sleep 0.01
    current_ids=$(get_window_ids)

    # Compare current and previous IDs
    if [[ "$current_ids" != "$prev_ids" ]]; then
        # Print only the new windows
        new_ids=$(comm -13 <(echo "$prev_ids") <(echo "$current_ids"))
        for id in $new_ids; do
            echo -e "\nNew window detected: $id"
            # Extract and print full block for that window
            hyprctl clients | awk -v id="$id" '
                $2 == id && $1 == "Window" { in_block=1 }
                in_block {
                    print
                    if ($0 ~ /^$/) in_block=0
                }
            '
        done

        prev_ids="$current_ids"
    fi
done

Simply create a script.sh file, paste contents into it and run sh script.sh.
Once that's done, open the window that instantly disappears and it should get printed.

I also asked gpt to write this short script that prints out newly opened windows. <details> <summary>Script</summary> ```sh #!/bin/bash # Function to get sorted list of window IDs get_window_ids() { hyprctl clients | grep '^Window' | awk '{ print $2 }' | sort } # Initial snapshot prev_ids=$(get_window_ids) while true; do sleep 0.01 current_ids=$(get_window_ids) # Compare current and previous IDs if [[ "$current_ids" != "$prev_ids" ]]; then # Print only the new windows new_ids=$(comm -13 <(echo "$prev_ids") <(echo "$current_ids")) for id in $new_ids; do echo -e "\nNew window detected: $id" # Extract and print full block for that window hyprctl clients | awk -v id="$id" ' $2 == id && $1 == "Window" { in_block=1 } in_block { print if ($0 ~ /^$/) in_block=0 } ' done prev_ids="$current_ids" fi done ``` </details> Simply create a script.sh file, paste contents into it and run `sh script.sh`. Once that's done, open the window that instantly disappears and it should get printed.

Sorry about going quiet: I haven't experienced the bug since I reported it, so unless it pops up again, I think it's safe to consider it resolved.

Glad to hear it's been resolved.
Do let me know if you experience any weird behaviour, I am utilizing a new hyprland feature for x11 apps for cursor grabbing so some things might behave weirdly.
